Residential, primarily low-density housing with mostly single family homes with scattered duplexes and small apartment units. Nearby commercial corridors (Summerhill Road, Richmond Rd, State Line Avenue and I‑30) provide grocery stores, restaurants, pharmacies and big-box retail within a 5–10 minute drive. The area feels suburban with quick access to Texarkana’s downtown and to outdoor recreation in surrounding East Texas/Arkansas countryside. Very close to the the only large hospital in the area, St Michael's Hospital with another large hospital nearing completion.

Texarkana Regional Airport (TXK) is the nearest commercial airport for short hops; larger airports (Little Rock or Shreveport) are 1.5–2.5 hours away.
